Ampco Pumps Company recently unveiled its innovative ZP3 positive displacement pump for the sanitary pump market, ideal for applications in bakery, candy, dairy, meats, and cosmetics.

“Ampco Pumps Company is excited to introduce our new (patent pending) front loading seal design for ZP series pumps,” says Bob Garner, Engineering Manager. “This seal is designed to 3A standards and has passed the stringent EHEDG clean ability requirements. In addition to being fully ‘clean in place,’ the seal can be serviced without the need to remove the rotor body and piping. Also, the front loading nature of the seal eliminates the “dead zone’ in the shaft bore. Existing ZP2 pumps (and competing U2 pumps) can be upgraded to the ZP3 design with new rotors, new seals and re-machining the existing rotor case.”

The ZP3 includes a standard stainless steel four mount gear case that is 100% interchangeable with the ZP2 pump and competing U2 gear cases.

Unique features of the new Z3 eliminate downtime, saving consumers money and reducing inventory expenses. Ampco Pumps also provides more standard features than competitors, offers quick shipment, and customizes pumps to fit specific application needs. The company prides itself on delivering quality products and superior customer service for a low cost.

Ampco Pumps Company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI. The company provides pumps to the sanitary, marine, and industrial markets.
