Neptune Chemical Pump Co., a leading manufacturer of chemical metering pumps, will exhibit its Series 7000 mechanically actuated diaphragm metering pump at the 27th Annual WEF Residuals and BioSolids Conference this year. The conference takes place May 5-8 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, TN, USA.

Twenty years ago, the Environmental Protection Agency issued the 40 CFR Part 503 Biosolids Regulation, which   specifies the beneficial use of residuals and biosolids as sustainable natural resources. The conference is sponsored by the Water Environment Federation in cooperation with the Kentucky-Tennessee Water Association with the purpose of exploring development, implementation, operation and maintenance of residuals and biosolids management.

The Series 700 pump is specifically designed to handle challenging water and wastewater applications by eliminating contour plates on the liquid side of the diaphragm and improving flow characteristics with a simple, straight-through valve and head design. These features contribute to superior performance; the pump is self-priming and has a maximum capacity range up 300 gph (1,135 L/h) at 150 psi.

Neptune will also exhibit its PZ Series electronic diaphragm-metering pump at the May conference. This pump operates on a manual control that produces speeds ranging from 1 to 300 strokes per minute. A variety of
liquid-end materials are available.
